I've just started a new character and I'm wondering how to play it out. I'm playing a sheriff type character who basically destroys raider type contingents and liberates towns and buildings from Raiders. I.E Primm, highway patrol station so on so forth. However I'm unsure whether I should stay with neutral with the Legion/NCR/House or be thoroughly independent and clear out all illegal/bad things everywhere in the Mojave any suggestions

If you're planning a traditional wild west sheriff then independent would be the way to go I think.
