Alright first to start off i am new to forums, seconds i DID search for this topic and haven't found anything mainly about shield perks,

alright to start off shield perks i haven't heard anything about them. if there is shield perks what would you guys like for me i would like when i block with a shield there is no chance for me to stagger,
2. another good ones is for counters, after a successful block if you land your next attack you get an instant critical.(would be one of the later ones.)

lastly about shield bash, they said it will be when i hold the trigger it causes me to bash but when i block i seem to hold the trigger for a longer time, i don't feel like bashing every time i try to block so i am hoping that if you tap the trigger it causes you to bash instead. or just use a different button.

There are some good ideas. The shield bash, seems fine the way it is, making timing more essential.

There is a block skill, so I'm sure most of the shield perks will be found under that.

For a counter, maybe just as a counter shield-bash, but I'm not sure about that either.

They use the same button, so you'll won't be able to turtle the entire fight, you have to time the block properly, not just wait for the strike with raised shields. Turtling didn't worked that much in Oblivion either, if I remember right, the longer you held down the block key, the higher the chance that you would be staggered when you're hit.

I am concerned about shield bash too. If some magic type or dragon releases a long fire blaze on me, I would hold my shield out for a few seconds. I wouldn't want to do an accidental bash while I am trying to block fire.

Maybe they can change the mechanic for the bash. I think they made it so if you hold the button, it will cause the bash because they don't want people hiding behind a shield the whole time. But that just restricts the player. I would humbly suggest that if a player holds their shield out for more two seconds, then their stamina will start to drain.

And so how would we do a shield bash? Well pull trigger half way to block or hold block, and pull the trigger all the way for shield bash.
