Carrying a shield slung on your back is a realistic way of walking around with your shield when you are not fighting. I like the idea of slinging it on my back.

To make everyone happy, the best choice is a dual option to carry a shield on your side or on you back. BTW the "on the back" option is the best, if dual option/choice is not possible; in that case I Really hope Bethesda going for "on the back" option

Someone (I can't remember who it was) said in a similar thread posted a while ago that there was a pic or video of a guard or something walking around with a shield slung on his back.

Don't like it don't use it! No, wait...

I suppose with 2-handed fighting there must be a way to sheath both weapons and, in this case, if one of them is your shield, then it would be a good solution to put it on your back. I think I've seen it on one of the art pictures also, so I don't know why it shouldn't be in?

Not that I care all that much though, as I always play in 1st person.. But I suppose for the vane moments of camera swooping around my character it would be cool :)

I just want to be TMNT (Shield on back means arrows can't harm me :D).

Now I just need two shields on my arms and I'm set.

At most you'll get it on your back when you sheath your weapon

That is where I saw the comment on a pic of the PC with a shield on his back. Person who said it didn't give a link to the pic though so mayber they were just kidding.

An option would be a terrible idea...
