Is the shining armor perk worth getting?
It says i'tll give you extra DT against energy wepons but is that just lasers or do plasma wepons count too?
I just got into a scraqe with the vangrafts while wearing metal armor and it diddn't seam to help mutch.
Also what counts as reflective eyewear?

are energy weapons more powerfull than guns?

are energy weapons more powerfull than guns? That is judged on a case by case basis and with many qualifying factors ex: skill, current armor bonus's ect.
Here is a list of armor that counts for this park:
Advanced radiation suit
Chinese stealth armor
Gannon family Tesla armor
Legate armor
Legion centurion armor
Metal armor
Metal armor, reinforced
NCR Ranger combat armor
NCR Ranger patrol armor
Radiation Suit
Recon armor
Remnants power armor
Space suit
T-45d power armor
T-51b power armor

Since only Van Graffs, BOS and Fiends use energy weapons I don't think it's a useful perk at all.

Van Graffs are easy since their armor and weapons aren't too great, hell, there's no need to kill them unless you do a certain companions quest. /spoiler

BOS is also fairly late game opponents and by then all you need is Pulse Pistol, Slasher, Med-X and Psycho and it's piece of cake.

And Fiends are pathetic.

So In Shining Armor == Useless from my perspective.
Maybe it'll be useful for upcoming enemies in DLC's but at the moment it's pretty pointless with limited usefulness.

Well, the only hard tagets in the game are melee (Cazadors and Deathclaws) So anything that does not protect from them is a waste.

But I think the perk is worthwile. No need to powergame here. This game is a push over. Powergaming will just make it even easier.

^^This! Light Touch brings light armor into a whole new perspective, specially if playing a low Luck build. If you have a high luck one, then the perk is even better! Until DM came out I always played with combat MkII, then Gannor Tesla Armor.
Now I only use light armor.
