Shipments broken XB1?

Post » Thu Mar 17, 2016 8:23 pm

So I've traded about 600 bottles of water to buy up some shipments for building, put them in my workshop and now I'm the proud owner of a stacks of useless paper.Shipments are just staying as shipments on paper, not as anything I can actually use.

Yeah, thanks for that, just what I always wanted.

So I guess building anything without grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrinding all over the place for stuff I'm quite happy to pay for is out of the question now?

I believe thats the new patch. Its done that way so you cant use a duplication exploit.

Drop the shipments on the ground and scrap them that way and that should give you the resources. Have not had a chance to check this out myself yet though.

They'll be 'broken up' to their components when needed, like regular junk. If you have 8 aluminum and 2 shipments of aluminum, the crafting menu should show that you have 58 aluminum.

oh good I can still toss them in the workshop and they'll be used up/broken down when I need em. Was worried about dropping expensive pieces of paper that might fall through the ground lol.

Yes. And it's hilarious.

Because now we have a counter argument to the "they patch exploits because they're features that don't work as intended" crowd, since this "fix" actually purposefully makes a feature not work as intended - they just changed which feature doesn't work properly.

And the funny part? Manually scrapping shipments reduces the size bar on settlements, so we HAVE to trigger a glitch that could later lead to overbuilding and corrupted saves to cash in our shipments. All this is totally illogical seeing as how people will just depatch the game or just Dogmeat dupe regardless (which can STILL be done, look for the how to videos on Youtube).

As i said, bethesda needs to wake up and start focusing on REAL issue. The freezing prefix on guns is still causing issues in the game such as enemies not despawning. We have other issues involving the detect life mod for power armor causing issues...BUT they would rather fix harmless, albeit unintentional, issues like duping and we get situations like this? smh
