are there any safe containers with in Bliss or crucible or New Sheoth ?? I have 1 character at the point of making the staff of throne sitting (I forget its name ive made it before used it once got bored of it) my othe character is level 1 and at the "Conspiracy" quest thing



i want some where where i can put my stuff because both characters have a really low inventory holding amount and i got bored of my main character always wearing glass armour with 125 pts of feather

how would i set up a new character so that it could use heavy armour with out it useing up 90% of the inventory space just to hold the armour ? my main character just go to level 26 today and only has 305 total invent and half of it is being taken up by the stuff which i have had on me since level 1 (potions and 9 repair hammers the scales reward from the 1 quest :/ im not even sure whats taken up so much my invent except my sword rest is 0 weight or 1 weight but the stuff that has weight i have very little of ... must be the ores i keep finding)

with out useing feather enchanted stuff or potions or spells whats the maximum amount of invent a wood elf can get ?

You can use the duke/dutchess quarters in the palace, it will be mania or dementia depending on which one you decided to do.
By the way, what does that staff do any way? I never have figured out, so I never used it.

Edit* Completly forget what the staff does only used it once ... and the wiki has nothing on it ... (why does teh wiki have nothing on it ??? i typed www.uesp.net clicked shivering clicked quest main quest found the staff making one no links to the satff itself ...)

it freezes everything except the player.

re: maximum inventory, I think it's *because* you're a wood elf you're struggling - they're not built as big as, say, Nords, so can't carry as much.... when I was one, I used leather armour and enchanted a few bits of jewelry with fortify strength (grand soul gem 7 points), or closed a few oblivion gates until I got a big Feather sigil stone and then used that to enchant. Not perfect, but worked okay.

Yes. If you talk to everyone in Crucible, you'll run across a guy who's just *dying* to let you use his house.


Any new character should be able to carry iron armor, which should be the only armor you'll be able to find at low levels anyway. If you're really pinched for encumbrance, trade off the heavy boots for light ones - that helps sneak ability too. The key to being able to carry heavy armor later, as it gets heavier, is to make sure that your character always gets good strength bonuses, and the key to that is to either make your main weapon a minor skill or use a different minor weapon skill just to gain skill increases and get better strength bonuses. I almost always make my main weapon skill a minor, and when I don't, I use a different weapon skill and go out around City Isle and kill mudcrabs until I get enough skill increases to get a good strength increase. And later I generally enchant at least one item with fortify strength.


500 - the same as any other race. Maximum encumbrance is strenght x 5. Any race in the game can get to 100 strength, so any race in the game can get to 500 encumbrance. Not counting enchantments and such....

Raise your heavy armor. One of the Perks, expert I think, Reduced the encumberance of all EQUIPPED heavy armor to 0

When you pick to be Duke of mana and demacher you get the dukes or duuchness house. I uses Slys because I like the house.

If you've done the "Lady of Paranoia" quest, use Ma'zaddha's house. The cupboard is safe storage, and the game tells you so.
