Shivering Isles? : IV

I have GOTY, so supposedly I have it. However I don't see any island or anything and no one in the game mentioned such a place. Is it a place? Or is just some add ons? I remember something about a gate being opened really early on in the game, could that be it?

Shivering Isles is a Daedric Realm and not part of Tamriel, so no island will ever appear on your world map.

Make the quest active if need be and follow the compass marker...

Go there after you reach the Level 21, so you can get the best items there...
