That video is from a personal (unreleased/illegal) mod that uses Oblivion files in Morrowind.
I think wollibeebee posted it just to inspire you.

Basically he was saying you need to create new models to create the Shivering Isles in Morrowind, vanilla meshes wont really cut it. I'm all for this project though so its just getting those who can model to help out.

I'm not sure if starwarsguy can be found anymore, but he was working on some SI mushrooms and such a while back. Of course you might know SamirA, wasn't he helping with Cyrodiil?

Yes SWG is still around, there have been some issues with him and being able to be on the computer but all indications are that he will be back in the modding community soon.

haha, no. it was another new zealander, (can we say his name or are there rules and stuff?) never released i dont think because it's illegal.
i jst posted it so you could get some ideas, and see what some meshes should look like. i dunno why you couldn't jst play SI in OB for that but i thought seeing SI in MW would made u even more keen? :P

yeah it helps out. set my mind to how it will look. Although me and some teammates have agreed it shouldn't be too much like oblivion. What about you guys? you want the quest line to be exactly like oblivion's, a little bit different, or something totally different?

It should be totally different quest-wise while retaining a lot of the whimsical characteristics physically. Sheogorath wouldn't need to defeat Jygylag (or however you spell it) during the time of Morrowind.

Thats exactly what we were talking about. No changing from Sheogorath to Jygylag, but maybe another daedric prince attacking his realm at the time you "accidentally" discover the portal?

Or it could just be Sheogorath giving you some random crazy task since he is the Mad God.

Well heres the gist of what me and my friend came up with

after Caius Cosades leaves (you don't have to do the main quests, but it would fit better and you would be better prepared if you did, by then you would have

leveled up) his ship crashes on a small island north in the sheogorath region. Him and his crew find the portal, go in, and come back out insane.

While exploring north, you stumble across him on an island, he recognizes you, but he is too insane/scared to tell you what happened. !Journal update #1!

you decide to find out what happened, as you find his crew, they say something you can't make sense of, then attack you. !Journal update #2!

you find the portal and enter !journal update #3!

as you make your way forward away from the portal, it closes behind you. !journal update #4!

you keep moving forward and find the small town called "The Fringe" (is that what its called?) you ask around about what the place is, since they are not fully

enveloped in the dimension, they have a little more sanity. They tell you that you are in the paradise of the mad god. You ask who the mad god is, they say

sheogorath !journal update #5!

You ask why the portal has closed, they say because the end is upon the dimension. You ask how can it be reopened, they say only by the mad god. You

ask how can you get to the mad god, they laugh, then realize your serious, and say visit the old sage up in the ruins. you make your way to the ruins, its

overrun by strange creatures and skeletons, you make your way to the sage, killing all the monsters on your way, you find the old man, ask him how to talk

to the mad god, he says the only way into the main realm, is to impress him. You ask how, he says theres a gatekeeper no one in the realm has been able

to defeat, go kill it. !journal update #6!

You kill it, and Haskall appears to congratulate you on your victory, and says the mad god would like to see you. You make your way to Sheoth (not new

sheoth, because the shivering isles hasn't been destroyed at anytime, due to the fact that jygylag hasn't been punished to an eternal life with sheogorath.)

You visit sheogorath in his castle, and he quickly starts to make a joke about you, as always. You ask him to open the portal, he gets angry and says its

his realm, and that if you demand something from him like that again, he'll do something to you. You ask what service he requires, he makes a joke, then

remembers what you did, asks you to take out a pesky daedric cult terrorizing people in his lands. !journal update #7!

he tells you where they are, and that you have to kill the leader. you kill the leader and entire camp, on your way out of the ruins their camp is in, your

attacked by over-sized daedroth-like creatures. !journal update #8!

you tell sheogorath about it, more jokes as always, then says that Molag Bal has been threatening his realm, and that its annoying him, but he has other

tasks for you. The Mazken and Aureal have completely split, and are threatening to tear the city apart, and the other race with it. he wants you to

unite them, but you have to be on one side or the other, he has a plan. you join (mazken or Aureal) and he tells you the plan: get acquainted with everyone

on your team, find out what is symbolically important to the other team, and report it to back to him. (there will be a few more journal updates here and there.)

You do so, report it to him, he has a team of masterly trained thiefs to steal it, you capture them, and return the symbolic item back to the team, (the short

battle with the thiefs "accidentally" happens in front of the captain of that race, you return it to her, she thanks you, and calls for a peace between the races.

You return to sheogorath, he says good job, then tells you that Molag Bal's power is growing stronger into his realm, and that its time to face it, he wants

you to scout 2 places that recent activity has been, and see what their up to. You go to one, not much activity, but the other, Molag Bals hiding out in, and

plans to take the throne. You tell sheogorath, he jokes, says its time to stop this annoyance. just as he says that, the city is attacked, and he wants you to

join in the battle, but not before he gives you some godly equipment (godly as in, not TOO overpowered, but what seems fit for an overlord) you defend the

town. Your losing the battle, an Aureal tells you that sheogorath needs you back at the castle. As soon as you come through the gates, that same Aureal

knocks you unconscious. You wake up in a siege machine, locked up in a cage. they tell you that you will die, but you will watch as your team fails. They

leave for a second, you use a power Sheogorath gave you earlier to unlock the cage, you kill them in the next room, kill the engineers in another room,

which stops the siege machine, and you escape out of it. When you come out, you'll see that is was close to the castle walls. The Aureal and Mazken gain

some morale from your incredible victory, and stomp the rest of the demons out of the shivering isles. You make your way back to the castle, find that Molag

Bal has made it in through a backwall in the castle, and is about to kill sheogorath. You step in, defeat the daedric god, and banish him back to his own

realm. sheogorath jokes, and says good job. he gives you the rank of Duke/Duchess of mania/dementia (whatever you choose) you get a crown, regalia, and

sword, corresponding with that position. You also have a new topic among the citizens of the shivering isles, "Taxes" and "Latest Complaints" if you click

"taxes" they pay you a small amount of gold (5-25 gold, you can only collect every 7 days.) and their disposition goes down by 3. but if you click

"Latest Complaints" they'll tell you something that has been bothering them, and you tell them that you might get it fixed. Their disposition then goes up

by 3. (Tons of journal updates)

so yeah. thats the general idea. i'm more of an RPG kinda guy, and i'm thinking about having a "political marriage" set up too. You can marry anyone from

that realm, and they live with you in your manor. (mania or dementia manor) They will then have a couple of new topics "Political Views" , and "Spend

some time together" political views will generate some random political views about the other duke/duchess, and sheoth. "Spend some time together" will

make them follow you, and you can take them to a bar, theatrical play, dancing, and to a diner.

(double spaced so people with bad eyesight might be able to read easier.)

The RPG stuff im talking about will come as an addon if you guys like the idea. i still want opinions of what you guys want added to it/ removed from it.

i would love to hear your opinions about the main quest. i will come up with other smaller quests once this project gets a good speed goin.

I think using some other random Blades member would create less hassle, be less story breaking, and be better in general than Using Caius.

thats what i thought. cus not everyone is gunna wanna go through have the main quest to get to play SI. so the other option i was thinking of, was just discovering the portal and going inside. then continue from last post from there.

Maybe make it a rumour like it is for Solsthiem, but less intrusive, say, only people in sheogorath region will tell you about it

I haven't played SI, or even OB (I played a bit on a friends xbox), but as a general rule - you probably want to stay away from major players in MW. I would strongly suggest steering clear of the Blades, and perhaps using a random group of adventurers. I say this for two reasons:

1) you are less likely to dink around with the main quest, potentially breaking it for people who start your mod before the main quest; and
2) the events in MW preceded OB - having the Blades discover oblivion gates on the continent this early could be "troublesome".

I do like the rest, though. You could even twist it so that you discover Sheogorath actually "allowed" Molag Bal to get so close as a way to relieve boredom! :)

Yes, rumors in towns near the region and a group of random adventurers would be a great way to enter into the Shivering Isles. It also makes perfect sense for Sheogorath to have allowed something to happen just for kicks and giggles. That's just how the Mad God is.

Instead of just a random group of adventurers spreading the rumor mabey the adventurers could be insane and people ask you to find out what there deal is :D

one of my original ideas was to just have a bunch of insane people around the area the portal is at but i was worried about making it seem to much like oblivion were there is the attack from the insane people.

For sure! Madness armor is some of my favourite vanilla OB armor.
I always liked how you had to go around collecting the ore/amber to make the gear. It felt very Morrowind-ish.

Yeah. it'll probably be like "Latest Rumors" - "The local smith is starting a new project. You should check it out" kinda start or something. then he'll be like "Yeah i'm trying to make armor out of madness ore deposits and Amber deposits. bring any you find to me." and you can use it to make certain armor and weapons.
