SO, i get home, I install Crysis 3, which i have been looking forward to all day, only to discover you need DX11. AARRRRGGGGHHHHH

i understand the reasons given as to why - graphics development, effect, achieving the best they can etc etc but why not do what most others do and have a DX11 option?

All this has done it stop people, like me, who are not loaded with cash from playing a game we have already paid ￡40 for on systems which are more than capable of playing the latest games at a decent level (bar this one of course)

And before it is said, yes i understand that it is stated in the min req's but, honestly, this cant be the best way forward...unless Crytek are in bed with Nvidia/AMD so heavily that they are being used as a sale tool?

Can i justify a new GFX setup just for one game...NO!
Do i think other games will do this in at least the next year...NO!
Are many many people going to be saddened by this development...YES!
