ShoesBoots and the Telvanni Robes

Post » Tue Apr 01, 2014 3:38 am

Hey everyone. So, I play on the 360 version of Skyrim, and I wanted to rock the use of the Telvanni Robes for my new playthrough with a Dark Elf Mage/possibly Sorcerer (as in pure mage that may have a suit of 'Bound Armor'/Daedric Armor that's specially enchanted for tough scenarios). However, the Telvanni Robes have a rather annoying problem with boots and shoes of many types. Even the Temple Boots from that arrogant Temple Priest at Raven Rock don't truly work (my ankles turn invisible, and not with an invisibility spell!) from I tried it in an older playthrough. Anyone know any boots that match the robes and don't clip or have invisibly ankles or anything like that?

M'aiq finds that you look good in regular "barkeep" shoes when wearing Telvanni Robes.

I remember trying those before - they clip noticeably.

Mhm...Well, trust me, if you're familiar with the former owner you would probably shrug off any manner of 'accidents' he could meet. And I don't even think the guards batted an eyelash when I emerged, bloody and grinning holding a pair of stained boots....then again, those damned helmets don't show their eyes.

So, anyone else have a suggestion on boots or shoes that don't clip or glitch for the Telvanni Robes?

Hide boots
Leather boots
The boots you got when you looted the corpse of the previous owner of the telvanni robes.

Right. Hmm...It's hard to think of any sort of boots that don't clip or look out of place, and normal clothing-style boots and shoes clip no matter what it seems. If there's nothing that fits the robes, I could always go the way of Divayth Fyr and be clad in almost all Daedric Armor. But I also like the idea of wearing robes to show my status as a Telvanni and have the armor act as a set of Bound Armor.
