Hello, i has just been wondering is the shootgun one shoot one kill? i have been watching alot of clips from Brink but i never see if its on shoot or not.
I'm wondering this for i have been screaming of rage for CoD players running around with shootguns that one shoot ur down,
And if the shootgun if one shoot one kill how can they balance it ?
Make the range super short ?
Or those it depends on what body type you use?

I would imagine, that at close range it would probably be a one-shot. Thats really how a shotgun works, close-range=one shot, mid-range= 2-maybe more, and Long-range= not even plausible. I understand about CoD but that much is true. I guess we'll have to find out later. I would imagine if Splash Damage went through the trouble of balancing the guns and recording real-time sounds for them, that they would make their game-counterpart work the way it should too.

I would guess that it would not be a 1 hit kill with the exception of a light but I wouldn't be against it killing a medium at point blank range

It's not 1 hit kill, they've said many times that nothing is.. And it's "shotgun". Technically every gun is a shootgun.

The closer you are the more projectiles that hit the target and the more damage it does, i assume the only OHK would be a point blank shot to a light's head.

I'm sure two shot down close range, 3 mid range, and various depending on the rest

Dealing with shotguns in English must be terribly confusing for non-native speakers. I mean, they're defined as a gun that shoots 'shot' (lead balls), but 'shot' is also past tense of 'shoot', probably why OP called them shootguns.

i'm guessing that a point blank shot will do 90% damage, but not OHK.

I nearly flannel while shooting shot at dervish.

But this would really require a lot of luck or some terrible camper, because you literally have to point the gun to his head. :laugh:

I remember watching a video a little while ago, and the Mossington shotgun incapacitated what I think was a Medium in about 3 shots at close-range. Not point blank, but close range.

I would usually have a problem with the shotgun being this weak, even at point-blank/close range, but in Brink you have to remember you get XP for dealing damage AND incapacitating, not just for incapacitating/killing like other games. Even if you die after blasting a guy in the face and bringing him to the BRINK of death, you'll still get a nice little reward.
