A Shop's Full Inventory

Post » Tue Aug 09, 2011 9:33 pm

A thread was recently posted titled "Stealing from shops" and his question hasn't yet been answered due to the unbelievable amount of sidetracking.

Now, in Fallout 3 and Morrowind if you killed a shop owner, they had a chest somewhere in his store where he/she kept ALL of their stock.

In Oblivion, and Fallout: New Vegas if you killed a shop owner all their items turned to thin air.

Will we be able to take an entire shop's stock given the opportunity?

If such is possible sneaking in general should be harder.. because Oblivion you could take everything without any chance of getting caught and you still ended up with a heap load of gold with nothing to use it on.

I'd like it if they have they're chest Beside they're bed, So it would be hard for you to sneak right up beside them, Unless you kill them Of course:)

Also makes me wonder since lock picking will be live time will it make sounds? That would make it very very challenging epic!!

"just gotta pick this lock a good 300 gold worth" 'chink' "crap pick broke"

Whos theres!!! hey you, GUARDS!!!

Actually, in Oblivion they were usually floating in the air in a container, typically just below the floor. Go tcl and feel free to grab them after your murderous rampage.

Don't they usually require specific locks?

Actually, I'd prefer they put the whole collection in a room. No more chests, just a room with everything inside. Feels more realistic IMO. Besides, scrolling through items is always a pain, best to take a look and pick directly
