Uh, there's LOTS. Most towns have a supplies merchant, a doctor selling medical supplies and a bartender selling food and drinks.

REPCONN Test Site near Novac and Black Mountain. REPCONN Nightkin are armed with melee weapons and can be killed with relative ease. Black Mountain is much more challenging.

anyway, there's always black mountain. Go to Sloan (North of Jeans Sky Divin') and just look for the mountain with sattelites, you can't miss it.

Also theres a nice quest you can get there to kill the evil dictator. And they all hate you, which is a bonus.

you're not gonna find too many supermutants in new vegas, very few of em, not like in fallout 3, but as far as merchants, get on the great khans good side by helping them at boulder city and they'll sell you ammo, they have huge amounts of ammo at their armory for sale all the time, also gunrunners, if you want lots of .308 ammo go to this guy named contreras at camp mcarren he's inside the big building way in the back, he has lots of 308 ammo, usually around 1000 rnds each time you go there, there's lots of other places, the guy at the the dam, the master seargent or whatever if you have a 50 speeech skill or on good terms with the ncr he has tons of ammo, also 188 trading post has a few merchants, the lady near the truck on the overpass and a gunrunner under the overpass usually has ammo and mods, novac in the dinosaur, he has ammo, primm, the old guy there sells some ammo, even in goodsprings you get small amounts, prospectors den has a merhchant once you kill the bad guys there the merhcant sets up shop just inside the cave, hope that helps.

Head to Black Mountain and you'll find out. No it's not tied to Jacobstown.

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy is the name of the quest where you have to kill Tabitha in Black Mountain or regroup her with her robot buddy, Rhonda.

The quest to kill JCBSTWN is called, "Do It Yourself" which starts when you attack a super mutant in Jacobstown. Not really, I'm just being sarcastic.
