I was wondering when you would join us ;) Good to have you, but yeah, it has to be original so we can keep bias out of the equation. I am the only one to know whose story is whose.

Somehow, I don't think it would be hard to tell which story is Emperor's. ;)

 The same could be said of FC4's story or a few others. It's inevitable, and one reason that I reccomended tiering. Wouldn't it be funny though if Emperor decided to write in layman's terms and surprise everyone

Ah, since I didn't get any judges response yet (my fault) I extend the deadline until no one else is working on a story. So if you have one half done or an idea still forming, let us know so we can hold it for you.

So, Lavanoth, you can still get in on the first one.

Rejoice, the total stories I have recieved has made it to five!

....... What is the point of having a deadline, then? I have college. I signed up as a judge because it wasn't supposed to go into that. *sigh* Oh wel...

This is true. A deadline that caters to the participants is no deadline, at some point you have to say "this is when its due."

Hold on a sec.

You've extended the deadline?

Without EVEN ASKING any of the judges for their opinions?! And the deadline is extended until, "no one else is working on a story??!!" When is that exactly?

Not too happy about this. If you want to extend the deadline, fine. Choose a date and stick to it please. People have lives and time constraints outside of this place, remember? This is rapidly becoming a complete farce.

^ So true. I'm probably going to drop out of judging. It's very disrespectful to change all of this without asking the people who have taken time out of their schedule to help you. But it's not just that. There are things I need to get done, and the contest wasn't supposed to interfere with that. Sorry.

EDIT: Also, for future reference... in later contests you need to have better organization.

 My bad. Never done this before, don't have much free time. I guess no more stories for now then, terribly sorry. My fault, I apologize to all the judges and writers for being so stupid; I have a bad habit of trying to conform to everyone and make everyone happy. Seems to be impossible, so I guess I'll do as Redsrock and burnt Sierra said and go on what we have.

Sorry to hear that redsrock, but I understand how busy you are and if my incompetence had anything to do with it, I am even more so regretful. It was nice having you; sorry we couldn't do more to keep you involved.

So, for the next time I'll make sure to run everything by everybody on the Feyfolken board before I do anything important. All I ask is that you please check it so you can let me know what you want to do. As you can see looking back on this thing, you all have more experience at this than me; all I've done so far is introduce the idea.

Thanks everyone, I am sorry to have been so rash.

On a happier note, we're happy to have you RemkoNL; I recall reading your story when I first joined these forums. Very good, keep it up :goodjob:

I'll stay. Didn't mean to be so harsh myself. As long as you don't extend the deadline like you said you would, all is good.

I'm already working on a new fallout story now, because I figured I didn't make the DEADline. so never mind.

I agree with the jury. If you have a deadline, stick to it. It'l only spread confusion and irritation if you change.

5 Entries is quite much though!

Thank you very much Redsrock, I truly appreciate your decision and your support on this. As I said, I will run most everything by you all first (I have something I need your opinion on right on in the judges only section, in fact) to avoid anything like this from happening again. The first time is bound to have problems, right

Alright Lavanoth, we'll wait for you next time around ;)

Five is a lot? Hmm, I thought it was too few  Hence my wanting more stories. Thanks again.
