Shorter Tutorial For TES 5?

Post » Sun Nov 14, 2010 6:44 pm

The tutorial in Oblivion was LONG. I only made a couple of characters because the tutorial was very long and kind of discouraged me from making new characters.

Should the TES 5 tutorial be shorter, longer, or about the same as Oblvion?

Thoughts?

I'd say it would be nice to have a skipable tutorial, it could easily be the same length as the one in Oblivion if you could shortcut through it. In Oblivion it would be nice to just follow the emperor and his guards trough the door they went through and just skip the whole dungeon.

Shorter and skipable after the first playthrough.

Wouldn't make it mandatory to having to play through the game once to have a skipable tutorial, after all a lot of people want to try several characters before settling on one, or for Modders who just start the game out new and don't wanna sit through the tutorial.

Rofl in Oblivion I just saved the game right at the sewer gate where you exit. So I can just load it up pick my race, class, etc and leave. (grabbing all the armor/weapons I can)

But yea Oblivion's tutorial was interesting the first time so I wouldn't mind that length of a tutorial but after the first time it should be made skipable.

I didn't mind Fallout 3's beginning at all, but a lot of people I've talked to were bored to tears by it despite enjoying the game a lot once they got outside. So, yeah if I were Bethesda I'd make it much shorter. I'm not really going to miss a long intro.

I don't really care how long it is, as long as it's good and I get to skip it.

I don't care how long it is, as long as I have the option skip it the next time through, I'll be happy.

Typically they're imperative to the storyline and I don't really mind them. I guess the same as Oblivion would be good.
