2-Shot Combat Rifle

Post » Fri Jan 22, 2016 10:44 am

Hey,

is it possible to find a Legendary 2-shot combat RIFLE (not shotgun)?

If yes, has it the same damage then "Overseers Guardian"? I killed a legendary in a room wioth auto safe after i found a Combat Rifle. I tried it around 100 times, i found all versions but not "2-shot" :)

Thanks

I just had this one.

Vault 81: Overseers Guardian for 2000 - 3000 Gold from the Merchant Alexis Combes

There arent even .44 Revolver Legendaries or Deliverer Versions

EDIT: BTW you just can Rename the Overseers Guardian, why you ask for a second one?

The Overseer's Guardian is nothing more than a unique version of the 2-shot Combat Rifle. It's unique only in the name. It's possible to find a non-unique legendary 2-shot combat rifle, but the legendary drop system is random so there's no telling when or where you might get one. If you're looking for one, your best bet is to just buy the one from Vault 81. If you don't have the caps, then you need to get on some water farming. ;) Throw on some charisma boosting clothing and pop some graqe mentats and you can get a considerably better price on it.

yes, i have overseers Guardian, too. This is my Question, if there is a normal 2-shoot legendary Combat Rifle and is the damage the same?

i have 140k caps, lvl 103 i am just farming the best stuff atm.

i have all weapons with 2-shot (44 Revolver, gauss rifle etc), just asked myself if a normal 2-shot gun rifle has maybe more damage then overseers guardian. If it's 100% the same i don't need to search one any more :P

If there is one it would be exactly the same like the Overseers Guardian.

Yes, it is exactly the same. But worse because it doesn't come with a cool name.

By the time I was level 67, I had a couple as well as the Overseer's Guardian. They aren't common, but they are available.

Be wary though...some legendaries and unique weapons have other advantages that get overlooked...I once got hold of a staggering shotgun, and chucked it in the trunk with the other legendaries...what I didn't see until later was that it had something like twice the accuracy of a standard shotgun, which meant it was (fairly early in my game) a short-medium range combat finisher.

Yeah, obviously. But it doesn't COME with the name. It's not THE Overseer's Guardian if you just take any old 2-shot combat rifle and name it the Overseer's Guardian.

Yeah, I've got a 2-shot combat rifle, and it's super-powerful, especially after modding the receiver to .308 ammo. (Although now I'm running low on .308 all the time, since I rarely use any other guns). It took me a long time to find a combat rifle with a good legendary stat, and now it's my best gun. I can't say if it is exactly the same as the Overseer's Guardian, as I don't have that gun to compare.

I found one, turned it into a sniper rifle, and now one-shot deathclaws. So that's a thing.

Yes, any legendary ability can drop with any weapon (except those that are precluded by the weapon's mechanics.)

I had an "extra projectile" combat rifle drop, and the statistics are exactly the same as Overseer's Guardian with the exception of the "Value" stat (what it can be sold for.) One was about half the value of the other, but I forget which was which. I believe Overseer's Guardian was worth about twice as much as the generic legendary drop.

I turned one of them into a sniper rifle and gave it to Deacon, which ended up trivializing combat in many situations while he was around.

Oh Dopple Schuss! And here I was wondering why you all want a weapon that only fires 2 bullets! hahahahahaha Yea, I got a 10MM that fires a 2nd projectile. :)

3rd playthrough, level 81 and I finally got the two shot .44 damage so far tops out at 319 from memory (without sneak multiplier) and is my second favourite weapon after my two shot plasma rifle.

the .44 is called Dirty Harry and the plasma is called Wanted as that thing has bendy projectiles.

my .44 two shoot is called "the walking dead" now, my 2shoot combat rifle is called Putin :D

my 2-shoot Gauss Rifle is called "The End" but i hate Gauss rifle, svcks playing it.

i got 398 damage with 44 Revolver (without Drugs) and my 2shot combat rifles does 288 damage without drugs.

Got all perks so i think it's pretty good :P but my 2nd favorite weapon is still the deliverer :P love the style and the speed

You are sure its just that its just that you have more perks, found that miniguns have far less spread then you put some point into heavy weapons, so little I had liked an better sight.
