2 shot combat rifle

I just picked it up from a legendary raider. Isn't this basically Overseer's guardian? It says it shoots an additional projectile.

I'm using this one for long range sneak snipe and Overseer's for mid range rifle.

Yes. It is same as overseer`s guardian.. and I have like 4 of them haha.

They are good weapon at early game... but I ditched all of them just because I couldn`t handle their accuracy penalty.

Me too...

I found it less useful than the 2-shot .44 pistol I found. I quickly named it Dirty Harry. I don't recall exactly, but it does something like 240 or so damage per shot as my current character is perked... with x3.5 ninja perk, it delivers well over 800 damage on a sneak attack. :D

They have more recoil and wider bullet landing area compared to non-two shot version.

Not sure how they work in VATS.. but if you are using those guns outside vats they are quite unreliable in mid-long range fight.

hmm, didn;t know that. Interesting, but for me it's don't miss and sneak and get time to aim right and it's an instant kill.

Sometimes I wonder if that is a random characteristic.

I found a 2-shot combat shotgun, and tricked it all the way out, so it had impressive damage, but the accuracy cross hairs when in first person where "huge" compared to my staggering shotgun tricked out the same way. They should have been identical, but the 2-shot version had horrible accuracy. Both had the same barrels and other mods.

From my experience, two shot combat shotgun is one of worst legendary weapon possible in the entire game... along with instigating flame thrower & ghoul slayer`s gamma gun...

I just sell em'. If it's got a star, it goes. I will keep my first Kneecapper, but after that they all get sold.

Yeah, same as the overseer's guardian ... good find. What I did was make the Overseer's Guardian a .308 sniper rifle and made a Two Shot a .45 sniper rifle. The difference in damage is small and it made .45 ammo useful past level 100. It made ammo usage a complete non-factor.

I'm level 120+ with a ranged build, play on survival, don't use power armor, my endurance is 4 ... and those two guns are all I need 99% of the time. I carry a kneecapper gauss rifle to blow legs off charred feral ghouls when they horde up, and a Two Shot .50 sniper that does more damage, but the Two Shot combat snipers hit hard enough with a high enough rate to handle anything that comes. I end up carrying guns I never use. I still need to find something to climb on quick, fast and in a hurry when a legendary deathskull radscorpion pops up, but with no power armor and low health, I think I'd need to do that no matter the gun.
