Of coarse not. That would be realistic. We should have beards on an excel-spreadsheet type deal. You notch it up a block when you want it to grow.
That would fit, right?

Most people just want to choose a style and not have to worry about the upkeep for it.

no.

I don't like the idea of laboring for a half hour to perfect my character, only to have him change :banghead:

If I want my beard to get longer then I'll make it that way when I make my character.

Not spending money on a haircut, no thanks.

There should be an attribute some Speechcraft perks that make your beard more charismatic.

No, I do not want beards to grow, I just want to have the option to choose a beard style at the start, and keep the same style throughout the game (If it's appropriate for my character to have a beard, anyway, I just expect to see bearded Argonians, or women with beards.) if it's possible for your beard, or hair, for that matter, to change during gameplay, it should only happen by your choice, like say, if there are charaters who can cut your hair in the game like in Fallout 3, essentially allowing you to change your hair (Or beard.) style after character creation. I don't want to have the character I went to great lengths to create change in ways that might not be what I want and which I have no control over (Things like your appearance changing if you become a vampire is fine because there are ways to prevent yourself from becoming one.)

When I choose my appearance I don't want to have to maintain it because of a hair growth sim. So no for me.

I wouldn't mind a hairdresser npc that allows you to change after character creation though.

Fire spells should cause extra damage to bearded characters, on account of facial fires.

I don't think beards or hair should grow but I think having a "barber" type shop where you could change your hair and beard should be around. Just my opinion.

Your beard should level up with you. And there should be beard armour DLC.
