Honestly, I just can't see how removing attributes could be done properly without throwing a lot of other stuff away or relegating them to perks (which would completely negate the point of using perks, which is a unique experience that you can't get anywhere else in the game). Magic resistance is a great example. One really has no skill to tie it to, nor does it really tie to any of the other stats, so would it be determined by taking perks? That's boring and also unfair (mage's used to get natural magic resist, now we would get none!).
