Should Bethesda release a final PATCH for Skyrim?

I vote yes. I would like to see FPS improvements (give console players a shadow/grass removal option) a horse sprint overall to match the stamina level of the player, a killcam toggle, a respec before leaving helgen keep.

But it's not January yet, how can this be possible?

Should they release another patch? Yes. Will they? Only if they deem it absolutely necessary.

All I want fixed are weapons cleaning up properly. And the Atronach Stone fixed (I hear it takes 5 minutes).

They should. Probably won't though.

Though I would argue what they SHOULD do more than create their own patch is to take the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, and use that in the console versions. It's quite possible and has been done before.

I'd like for them to fix the damned lip sync bug, but it's probably not going to happen.

Yes. Many companies understand nowadays that you just don't leave your game abandoned out in the wild after 2 years. I've had much older games receive a few patches. The worst part about it is that half their work has already been done by the community and all they have to do is add it in and then thank their community. Make the moders feel appreciated more, make the players feel like Beth believes in their product and it's always nice when recommending Skyrim to be able and say it runs good without having to mod it into a workable game.

They could do it. They already exist for consoles. Just rip someone elses work and make it official.

To what purpose? No thing in a small patch with fixes for rare things will change your experience. Would likely break something though. Besides, Skyrim multiplayer will launch on April and lots of people will forget all about Skyrim.

Anything that fixes things is welcome, i am not so selfish as to hope it just fixes my game bugs but if it did great, if not well it fixed some things for some people, how can that possibly be bad, who in their right mind would say no,

I exclude PC gamers of course as they can sort out their own problems.

not going to vote because it is not going to happen. No matter how much people beat a dead-horse into a bloody pulp, they are completely done with skyrim. IF you want some else done to patch the game, wait/ask someone to make a mod patch for it or make it your self. If you are on console, well, sorry not Bethesda's problem anymore.

EDIT: i do not mean to sound rude, but it is over, at this point you might as well be asking for patches for Oblivion and Morrowind while you are at it)

Only if it doesn't affect mods.

Just sayin...

And Beth have said they're done with DLC, they have NOT said they are done with patches.

they said they would do patches if absolutely needed (like if something makes the game unplayable) but anyone with common sense knows that means "no more patches either"

Some say the lip sync issue makes the game unplayable. I'm not one of those but still the lip sync should be fixed. It took only one patch to break it, surely it needs only one to fix it.

by unplayable the "meant" the game crashes every time you try to do something main quest related or something similar. and even then, it was "marketing talk" for "we are not really supporting skyrim any longer"

The game is playable, so this means... No! More! Patches!

Agreed. The game's far from unplayable, but this bug is still very annoying.

You won't find it on this site - that kind of thing is strongly discouraged here.

I... say this all the time.

The opinion that it isn't is purely subjective.
