Should I buy Digital AND pipboy edition?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 11:33 pm

I really want the pipboy, but amazon states I won't receive it until the 13th, and that's with the fastest shipping (2 day). Being a collector of fallout items, and having a shelf full of fallout merchandise (even beer mugs, nuka cola bottles etc) the pipboy is a must. However, I really want to play launch day. Would it be absolutely crazy to pay $180 for a digital AND pipboy edition? Is anyone else doing this? As a huge fallout fan this will absolutely kill me to not be able to play till dayssss after launch. I really want to pull an all nighter tuesday night and play. Already have my sick excuse for work ready to go haha.

I got both a normal hard copy and the pipboy copy. You are not crazy! You can always sell the normal copy once the PIP BOY edition comes in. Used you might lose $10 but who cares! :)

Hmm, not a bad idea. Buying a physical copy instead of the digital so I could resell it in a few days once the pipboy comes in. Well played, well played. Now to find out if a gamestop etc. actually has physical ones left 0_o

Yup it is what I am doing. Playing 2-3 days earlier is worth $10 or so to me. GameStop, Walmart, and best buy should have them on release date. GameStops have midnight release

True! Only downside is no pre-load. THAT 1 HR WAIT WILL BE PAINFUL.

Wait...if the game uses a product code to enter into steam, wouldn't that mean you can't resell it? Since the code has already been used???

I purchased the Pipboy Edition on the Bethesda Store, but I also purchased the Game and Season Pass on Steam. Having to pause the Game to accept My Pipboy Edition and Prima Guide with Nuka-magnets will be annoying!

I pre-ordered several different copies, 2 pipboys, 1 PC and 1 xbox, a pc physical and a pc digital, I won't be opening my pipboy so I bought the physical PC for the perk chart and am going to sell the code, and will be playing my digital version the second it unlocks.

Pipboy edition game is identical to the non-Pipboy - so keep the one you activated on Steam and sell the unactivated one (Preferably still in the sealed box).

Enjoy your game - and your Pipboy!
