Should I buy it?

Okay, so I've been playing Fallout 3 for a very long time, it's my favourite game of all-time, but I've never bothered to try out New Vegas. Do you think it's worth it, and if so, why is it better than FO3. Thanks. :)

If you enjoy a well written, story driven RPG, then yes you should buy it. If you prefer the less well written, but more explorer friendly type games that Bethesda is known for (I'm fully aware they didn't develop this) then you might come away a bit disappointed. Regardless of your preferences, it is still a fine game that is worth a playthrough or two...just don't expect it to be bug free.

Yes, you should buy New Vegas. While you are at it, buy Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics :tops: :fallout:

Yes!!! I loved fallout 3 and now i love fallout new vegas even better, it has much more developed factions and difficult choices.

I find those games impossible to play, i can't stand turn based combat.

Give them another shot. Also Fallout Tactics has a real time option.

It's closer to the feel of the first 2 Fallouts. Several moments in this game have Easter egg nods to these first installments.

I could never stand them either. Even back then I couldn't stand turn based games, I don't see that changing anytime soon. It's a shame really, because I've always enjoyed the story and lore of Fallout, but turn based games are a deal breaker for me.

Yes buy New Vegas Ultimate Edition. It's more Fallout, what's not to like? Be warn that it starts slow. I know people (in person) that have quit the game after only 10 minutes of playtime. It's a shame too. Because the rest of the game is simply amazing.

If you liked Fallout 3, then I would personally almost guarantee that you will enjoy Fallout: New Vegas

I started in the Fallout series with Fallout 3, which I loved. I didn't buy New Vegas immediately, but when I got it, it was basically the same level of fun

Indeed, they are different games, though. But, I don't say that as a bad thing

So, I definitely urge you to buy it as soon as you can. Although I haven't played the DLC's, I would suggest getting the ulimate pack (assuming it contains the DLC's), as I hear they were good (and I think they look good, too)

You dare question if it's worth it? Is it WORTH it??? To which I answer with a resounding HELL YEA it is worth it! LOL I love FO3, but OMG NV and the DLCs have blown me away! There are so many different story path and factions you can choose from and the reputation/karma REALLY matters in New Vegas! Plus, you can play Slots! After a hard day's work, killing Fiends and Deathclaws, I like to relax with a glass of Whiskey and a bit of gambling hahahaha
