Should Cyborgs be in Fallout?

Post » Sat Oct 27, 2012 3:02 am

i've played fallout for years now, from Fallout 3, to Fallout new vegas and i loved every bit of the experience but i always thought it was missing a little something and not to long ago i found out what it was.

while playing fallout 3 for the third time i came across a quest about a run away android
,and that got me thinking. Androids are really just robots designed to look like humans and if people are capable of makeing self aware androids. Maybe just maybe there could be Cyborgs in the fallout universe.
I know it will probably never happend but think of how cool it would be if there were Cyborgs in fallout and it would be even cooler if you could be one. Just think about it being able to shoot lasers frome your eye, hack terminols easier control robots ect. I love the idea of cybors and i think they should be put in fallout let me know what you people think

There already are. Unless you are talking about completely robotic dogs.

There are already cyborgs in Fallout. There are multiple cyber implants in many of the games, and before you say implants don't count, the definition of a cyborg is an organic organism utilizing synthetic systems/parts in a fashion that the synthetic can not operate/function with out the organic and the organic can not survive with out the synthetic.

After playing OWB, the Courier is certifiably a cyborg.

well i know that implants are basicly cybernetics but i was thinking of something more along the lines of Cyborg from th DC comics you know how most of his body is robotic
and it would not hurt to actually SEE the implants on your character to give him more of that cyborg feel if you know what i mean

He is the right hand to the Master in F1. Buy the pack on Steam or GOG. Comes with F1, F2, and Fallout Tactics.

I feel ya. I played FO3 and New Vegas on max settings running NMC's texture pack Heavy 9and a butt load of other mods) on my gaming rig until the PC decided it was sick of life and died. If I tried playing even the vanilla games on my laptop it'd start chugging out smoke as if i powered it via coal.

Not a chance. Fallout will run on any X86 PC made in the last 15 years; unless your PC is over 15 years old, Fallout 1 & 2 will run just fine on it.

Cybernetics have always been in Fallout. What I didn't like was the android from 3. In a world full of clunky, retro-futuristic technology like huge computers etc, I don't think the idea of an artificial human full of incredible, lifelike technology fits very well.

I guess the logic behind it is that they are extremely rare and expensive. So rare that the commonwealth is probably the only source of them, and that is why they will hunt them to the ends of the earth if they have to, to get them back... No?
