No. Be like myself and get them to give you the safehouse key from being ' liked ' and use that as an HQ. Thats what I did. And I still managed to get all of the factions' safehouse keys, but that was hard as hell.
They also provide you with an extensive list of weaponry and FREE ammo if you're liked. And its alot of ammo not just a handful.

The Courier can't be everywhere at once and I heavily doubt that the Brotherhood would be dumb enough to send everything they have against one objective. If the Brotherhood do try to deal with the Securitron's, which is likely, then they will be able to cause a lot of damage.

The Brotherhood is just totally sweet.... and being a memeber with them.. makes me feel like I'm part of a spiecally secert society....... I really don't have a problem with them.. becasue they arn't an evil tyrannical group, that forces other's into submission..... And alot of them are very well educated.... They just do their thing....

But their 'thing' is the wrong thing. They take weapons they deem 'inappropriate' and use them themselves. If they're so dangerous, why would you use them yourselves? Answer, the Brotherhood is a self righteous ego group. They wear power armour and suddenly they're knights in shining armor? What dross. Seriously, look at Lyon's BoS, they are considered 'rogue' and yet they're the most prosperous BoS chapter. It's pathetic they cling to the Codex, if the Wastes stayed the way they did back in Maxson's day, maybe. But the world is changing, the Brotherhood are a bunch of dinosaurs who can't accept change. At least get Power Armor Training before you make a decision. Me personally this isn't the same awesome group that saved the Capital Wasteland (With the help of a certain Wanderer), so I would destroy them. I'd definitely would destroy them if I side with House (Which I do 100% of the time).
