My internet was down when the patches came out. Read a lot of patch criticism on these forums, and now I've got a connection again I'm wondering about the wisdom of taking steam online. The game plays fine for me right now. It crashes on every second game start up- but that's not game breaking. Once I'm in the game and playing I've had very few bugs. So, should I bother with the patches for fear they might make things worse? HOw bad are the problems with the patches really?

Not 1.2, I would recommend you wait for 1.3 that is coming out this week, 1.2 has added so many little and big (resist bug) bugs in my game.

Backward flying dragons, broken resistances, and broken book cases. these three seems to be universal, or at least the first two. there are other problems that were reported but not all were affected except by the first three problems. There are mods which needs to be updated to function properly otherwise will CTD. It is really advisable to wait for the new patch coming this week.

The game plays fine in here too so, if you're not having major problems I don't see the point in updating and getting new problems.

no. do not get 1.2! and i wouldn't get 1.3 until after a few days when the smartz people have had a chance to form a summary. i'm disconnecting my ps3 before i play skyrim from now on. also gonna try to get rid of 1.2 without deleting my character...
