Post » Mon May 12, 2014 2:54 pm

Just meeting the Dark Brotherhood idk if I should join or destroy them

I'm sure they have lots of missions like the Thieves Guild and I don't want to miss out

But is it worth it?

You get some pretty sweet rewards joining up with the Dark Brotherhood, including a really cool horse. Their quests are fun, definitely some of the better ones in the game. I like some other quests better, personally, but they're still better than a lot of other quests.

Far more fun thief guild for sure. A lot of people said that DB is the best and most developed guild in Skyrim.

The reward are very good.

I tend to join the DB with my "darker and evil" type characters who also do the Daedric quests. With my "good" characters I usually destroy the DB and avoid the Daedric quests. This idea suits my characters roleplay better and fits their style.

If you are "Meeting" the DB then have you killed Grelod? If so, then I'd say you are already evil.

I have more fun when my thieves and assassins are clearly distinctive. Too many people blend the two together in Skyrim.

Being evil is difficult. I mean think about it, how many quests can you do that allow you to be evil other then some Daedric quests and the Dark Brotherhood/Thieves. Only way I can find myself being evil without doing any of those quests is just killing everybody in each hold.

>Implies that killing Grelod is evil. Resolving that dilemma in favour of a child-abusing welfare-scammer seems to me to be the evil option, more than removing her and letting Constance run the orphanage properly. As for alternatives to killing, we're talking about Riften; it's likely that Mjoll, the guards, and prospective parents have either exhausted those options or (especially in the guards' case) simply can't be bothered.

@OP: I haven't done them; but from what I'm told, DB provides some of the more interesting characters and stories in the game.

That depends on your view on evil, evil could be viewed as two wrongs dont make a right, or something like karma, were punishing evil is viewed as good.

And whether the Dark Brotherhood Quests are fun depends on who you are, some could like the hunt, or the kill, or the fact that they could get away with it.

To actually tell what you want to know, to side with the DB will provide far more quests than destroying them.

Yes.

Now stand up, raise yourself up on your toes, then stick your arms in a T like pose. Next forcibly click your heels together 3X while shouting: "I possess the free right and autonomy to make my own independent decisions".

While doing this, you should also consider the fact you have the total autonomy to perform daily cognitive activities like your homework, brushing your teeth, and getting at least 8 hrs of sleep tonight so that you're well rested for school the next day. Then do the exact opposite of this the next day. Next, alternate between these two regimens to ad infinitum.

On a slightly more serious note: do you always make a habit of casually asking perfect strangers to make your personal decisions in life? Because if so, I find this quite disturbing.

I've found that playing as an evil character is a little more fun.

The easiest path to power is not necessarily the best. The associated emotions are as much a weakness as a strength.

This can be put down to a lack of focus, stemming from the reliance on pride, anger and fear.

--------------------

Evil may win over those that are defenseless through life, or those that are evil may take advantage of others, but later,

they will pay for it.

Do not forget, no amount of darkness can hide a spark of light !!! :lightbulb: :lightbulb: :lightbulb:
