Should Executions Kills Be In Fallout 4?

Should we have execution kills be in Fallout 4? It would be awesome to cut off someone's arms and then their head or something like that.

not really needed since we can destroy every part of them already.

well i would have to say vats crits would be more than adequate. or at least have the extra animations for those crits while using vats.

Only when you do a critical strike that ends in a kill. That sounds appropriate to me...

I voted yes because I loved the violence in Fallout 3.

Yes, I like them. Though to be fair VATS is almost like it's own long kill sequence sometimes.

Depends. I'm eager to see how lining up a skull blow with a fire-axe will feel with the new VATS.

Vat's is fine for the task I don't think having a game mechanic solely focusing on executions will go well with the media or review boards VAT combat is fine as if you attack someone its just that but if your capturing someone and dismembering limbs individually it might go as...torture...which won't go well with the review boards or media  So I think for now VAT's will do the task just fine with much less controversy.

Edit: I do realize you can mercy kill and basically execute people in F3 and FNV but its not really a mechanic per say.

I concur. I believe VATs is more than enough to get our cinematic killing out of Fallout.

Well if we can't get that we could at least get fighting moves like in New Vegas.

Wasn't there special moves you could do with certain melee weapons in New Vegas? I recall some sort of special golf swing you could do with the golf club but I wouldn't know too much as I never invested into melee much in that game.

In my opinion it's fine the way it is, there's more to Fallout than just the killing; I think there's a good balance now.

Yeah something a bit more spectacular than the monsters or whatever turing into ragdolls when their life points reach zero. But I think that's coming. Well, partially at least, there's a scene in the gameplay vid when the player kills some mutant and there's a death animation involved as opposed to just going straight to ragdoll mode.

I'm one of does that often disables the whole kill sequinces, did that in skyrim. I dont need the game to pull me out of my shooting spree to show an enemy disintegrate while 2 or 3 more are still charging at me. :D

As long it's not that annoying cheating move that we/they could pull on us/them...

Hated it when I am close to beating that Bandit Chief and then finding him violating me with the haft of his battleaxe...

I am playing 'the evil within' at the moment and the execution kills are great fun. I would like to see it included so that sneaky-stabbing characters would not have to use vats. That system always seems clunky in melee attacks as the camera is so close to the action.

Voted yes.

Would be cool in VATS that when we aim certain body parts in critical hit on a arm or leg they be blown off with out them getting killed, when that happens would like to see them trying get thier gun or maybe run away cripled struggling.

Would like to blow legs off on ghouls and see them crawling to get you while they bleed or any enemies.

Kinda like how Book of Eli did when he chopped that dudes hand off.

If you're thinking a quick cutscene type of thing, then I'd support it only if it happened when playing in third person mode.

I'd prefered if we got more specific kill animations per weapon, and more fatality like triggers, rather than all weapons doing the same thing with exploding bodies. By now we should have more detailed killing styles like Gears of War.

Yes, I'd want to see more accurate mutilation animations. Like in VATS, if I aim for a leg, just that leg should blow off and force the NPC to crawl around if they survive. Or if I aim for the arm, they just lose their arm and limp. Or if you shoot them in the groin, they hold their groin and drop their guns. No more generic exploding chunks.

I'm guessing the OP means more than the killcams we already had. In which case, I'd vote no - we really don't need Even Further Super Gratuitous kill cutscenes like Mortal Kombat or Sniper Elite. FO3 was bloody enough, no need to try to turn it into some gore porm thing.
