I was curious what people think about fallout 4 (Or any upcoming fallout) being in a different country. Please explain your reason.

Well my opinion is no, not for a long time at least. Canada and Mexico being apart of America in the Fallout universe would be ok, maybe Cuba if a game is set in Florida.

There is still so much of America (North America) left to see and if Fallout did leave NA, the game would be very diiferent. It would be set in the Fallout Universe, but everything else would be different, no more retro-futuristic 1950s America. I would be retrofuturistic 1950 of the country the game would be set. And of course no conections to past games at all.

Depending on where, we wouldn't even have energy weapons or PA.

America closed its boarders 20 or so years before the Great War and told the rest of the world to screw off.

Still these threads often lead to "it should be set here" debates but yeah mods might allow it.

Fallout 3 isn't much of a sequel to Fallout 2 cause it's set on the opposite side of the continent, how would Fallout 4 be any more of a sequel if it's set in another country?
