Should i get F1 or F2

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 7:05 am

I was wondering is F1 and F2 could to play or buy. Is it good and will i keep me interested? Or the better question is can i run it on the computer i have. I have a crappy desktop from like 2004 or 2005 and is slow so i dont think that would work. And i have a Toshiba Satalite Laptop.

So could i run and should i buy it/ Play it.

Please post your suggestions

If you are a fan of dungeon diving and exploration, you will HATE the original Fallouts, if you like a great story, then you will love it. I would get Fallout 1 first, just because it will explain everything.

It is Fallout, more Fallout than any other game. and alex, it has plenty of large cave systems to spelunk, it has pretty good exploration. But it isnt centric, because the story is awesome and doesnt need to use exploration to make up for anything, it is a great game that has inspired the loyalty of the "dinosaurs"

Yes! Get Fallout, Fallout 2 and Tactics. You can buy them in a pack or buy them off Steam.

You've came to your senses. Yes, you should buy them. I suggest Fallout 2 because it's huge, and Fallout is about the size of a well planned Flash game. But if you're worrying more about story, I suggest Fallout first. Once you're done with them, check out Tactics. Haven't played it myself, but never heard a negative comment.

Your computer would have to be insanely bad to not be able to run it. I'm sure you can. And yes, you should buy it. If you have color issues or anything, just google some remedies, they aren't hard to find. I experienced them on Windows 7 but I have no idea how other OS will react. Also, in options, I recommend turning combat speed up all the way. Makes fights faster (and encounters like wild dog packs) less annoying.

Yes, combat speed has to go all the way up, it makes the combat really fluid and dramatic for TB.

That should run those games just fine. You can find the both of them and tactics in the "Fallout Trilogy" for only $20.

There are 3 games, each cost $10, 10x3: $30. But don't worry, they're worth $30.

No, those are the individual prices, and in the pack they take 10$ offf.
30 - 10: $20

I have played all games Fallout (I do not consider The Burned Game to be a game Fallout) and loved all of them*, Fallout: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game is the best game of them all.

*I love Fallout 3 as an action adventure game at root, but not as a Fallout game.

No dont bring F3 in here because i will get edgy if you start converstations about that its bad. So lets just keep that out of here and have a nice healthy discussion.

Definitely capable. For Fallout 1, use this fix: http://www.interplay.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=889&sid=51c3e6bcadb0053ea533e4cffcf0e249

For Fallout 2, just get "Killap's Restoration Patch". It fixes bugs, adds content, and you have high resolution and options that get rid of the color issue in the options. It definitely does not take anything away from playing it for the first time, so yeah. It's just worth it.

How many hours put into Fallout 3? Well I played it since the day it came out till about a month before Fallout New Vegas came out. I bought all the DLC as they came out. Wasted the summer of 2009 playing Fallout 3 (when I was not working). So several hundred hours or more put into Fallout 3.

I still play Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics at least a couple of times a year.
