Should I get the Ultimate Edition based on these prices?

Post » Mon Aug 27, 2012 5:32 pm

So, my laptop might or might not run FO:NV. The problem is I don't feel like dealing with low FPS so im going to get it on the PS3. Here's the thing. FO:NV with no DLCs is around 8 dollars, while the ultimate edition will cost me about 38-40. That's basically a 500% markup for the DLCs. As much as I love Fallout 3, I don't feel comfortable spending all that extra cash for DLCs. So my question is, are the DLCs THAT great that its worth it?

TL;DR- $8 for FO:NV Regular, $40 for Ultimate Edition. Are the DLCs worth the difference in price?

Thank you for any input.

Yes. All of the DLCs are excellent, and Old World Blues is amazing. The DLCs are absolutely worth $32, IMO.

The DLC's are definitely worth getting.
Only one I would advice against is OWB.

But since you're getting them all at once I guess you'll just consider it a worthless bonus.

Do NOT get it on the PS3.

The Ps3 has frame rate issues, stability issues etc. Typically, PS3 users CANNOT complete the game and all DLCs on a single character due to character file size growing too large until they receive one frame-per-second, making gameplay impossible.

Even if you can only play on minimum settings now, get it for PC. You can just buy it via Steam and own it forever, then get a better PC later.
