should've had a beta for the western market

Post » Sat Jan 22, 2011 12:56 am

have seen nothing but terrible reviews, and with the psn down, i will not be buying it.

terrible decision to not have a beta available to the world, not just europeans under contract or whatever bs that was given for the reason why.

So, Europe is not part of the Western world anymore?
Also, It's not SD's fault that PSN is offline.
Also, I think most reviews are quite biased.

Examples: Different objectives, non symmetrical maps get repetitive? What about just TDM?
8v8 is limited as teamsize? That's more playerst than CoD's standard TDM.

I agree with you for the most part but I'll be honest, if I was a PS3 player, and I didnt have it pre-ordered, I wouldn't be buying until PSN came back online.

europe is definitely not america, mexico, canada ect

nobody blamed sd for psn being down but from what i hear, the xbox version is laggy and buggy all things that couldve been fixed with an open beta.

they were too cheap to offer dedicated servers for consoles and too ignorant to have an open beta.

LMFAO!

Say what you mean! Europe most definitely IS part of the western world. In terms of countries in Europe, and the "Western world" you refer to, we have more First World countries than you do!

Nah nah nah nahaaa nah!

Europe and North America are often referred to as the Western world. Not because of geography, but because of the standard of living and culture in general. /Intermezzo over

whats your point again?

games garbabge online for consoles as far as i have seen, and this forums is full of retards with no substance to anything they say.

games should be beta tested world wide not in a specific country or region like sd did.

Nah, it's just the continent that was West of the other historical civilization areas of the Old World and actually gave its name to the Western World.

I don't know if you've noticed, but for Asians North America lies to the East.

I really don't think you should be commenting on who's ignorant,...

If you don't want to buy the game then that's fine, but i feel you should really try things for yourself rather then being influenced by others.

Betas are not there for you to test drive a game, they exist so developers can find flaws in the game...what you want is something called a "demo". Also, I think the term everyone is looking for is "western hemisphere".

Should it of had a huge beta say like Gears3? Yes. Hell every multiplayer game should have a beta but not all of them do and hell most of the ones that do only have small wanna be beta's. Name 1 game tho that has had a beta or not that has had a perfect launch? Ive been playing pc and console games since my uncle gave me his old atari be for nintendo came out and i can't think of 1. Right now is this game perfect? NO. Is it playable? YES. Do I find it enjoyable while i wait for the updates? YES. Just as long as they don't do what THQ/KAOS did with homefront and say a update is coming then not say a sinlge word on the offical forums for over a month about anything.

That's just my .69 cents

If you're looking for an in-depth, engaging experience that rewards practise and team work, and represents a welcome break from the stagnate place the genre has found itself, then you can do a lot worse than Brink. If you're looking for a drop-in/drop-out, ten-minutes-a-night-and-I'm-done shooter then you could do a lot better than Brink.

The guy making that review has bad internet connection (he says it himself), other people doing reviews say that the game is fine and doesn't have any lag issues. He said he only played one game of Brink before snapping the disk.

My friend got it today and said multiplayer is really good, just some games are laggy.

Servers will probably be fixed within a few weeks. This is SD's first console port.
