I should have stuck to my guns

I didn't get into Oblivion until almost a year after launch (my computer couldn't play it). When i did start playing all patches were out etc and there was a large selection of mods. I love this type of game: a big non linear world. So before Skyrim I told myself I would hold off buying it and wait at least 6 months. Well i got caught up in the hype and although the game works ok, looks great, I'm a victim of no waterfalls, cobwebs, fire etc. I really want to play this game in all its glory. I don't want to download mod fixes until all the patches are out. SO.... on Steam Skyrim shall wait. Hello TOR, Lotro, witcher 2, while I wait for you my beloved Skyrim. *sniff

Sounds like someone needs to update their drivers or something. I've experienced none of those issues.

In fact the only graphical issue I had once was a purple texture thing that was resolved by restarting my computer (it had been running all day).

Anyone else getting sick of these threads where people come to complain, instead of actually trying to fix their issues? By all means, you have the right to complain, but why not be constructive about it. You won't get ANYTHING out of posting in General Discussion (ok, maybe some self-satisfaction that others have listened to your grievences).

Yes it's a common rendering problem. Others have updated their drivers and it didn't change. There is the Enb mod (i think that's the name), but I'm reluctant to download if a patch erases it. It's no big deal. I'll wait. Plenty out there to keep me busy.

Thedamed: you just posted a complaint. Since you are woking so hard to be constructive, why are you reading the forums? There was no real complaining. I'm just saying I'm going to wait. Many on here seem frustrated and this is my answer to my dilimma. Go away teenager, your anger means nothing to me.
