Should Kahjiit go on all fours when Sneaking? : V - Skyrim

For me, it depends on what type of Khajiit there will be in Skyrim. The more catlike ones should go on all-fours when sneaking but the more humanoid ones should not.

Perhaps the PC could choose if he wants to be a cat-like Khajiit or a human-like Khajiit? Would add more deapth to that particular race, with a diplomatic solution to the question.

Pretty hard to hold a dagger while sneaking then, so no.

the Khajiit would ofcourse put the dagger between the long teeth when sneaking:

I have, just because it is possible, doesn't mean it's a better alternative, what if I dualwield, what if I'm holding a bow?

somone going on all fours wearing armor and having weapons would be awkward and if you imagine the khajit from oblivion on all fours especially in third person it would looks stupid

no, i like more huminoid kitty people, they didn't look cool in morrowind, in oblivion at least they didn't look dumb, if they can make them more graceful looking, then maybe they should give them different animations

And Aren't kahjit just furry bosmers? Depending on the cycle of the moon and all that. I know some of them are basically just cats, but the ones we play are more like elves with cat features?

Don't really care as I don't play beast races, but I'll vote no for the added animation complexities. How do you carry a sword, or a two handed claymore, or a bow, while sneaking on all fours? How do you handle clipping problems (or weapon collisions) that will show up as a result of it?

If they can pull it off, then by all means. But I predict it impossible to do well enough.

yes. heres an idea, argonians can climb walls like spiderman and swim like fish. khajit can climb trees

Well lizards can climb pretty much anything... but I've never seen a cat climb a tree...

I'm sure some have said this and I don't feel like reading all 4 pages of replies, but the Khajiiti are bipeds. They have evolved from quadraqeds, sure, but so did humans.

We don't walk around on all fours under any convenient circumstance, so why should the khajiit? It would be silly. They need their hands for things anyway, knives or bows or other instruments, plus their hands aren't made for walking any more than ours are.

No. I think this would be a very bad idea.

There are some who ALWAYS go on all four... there are also two breeds who are used by other khajits as mounts...

Not all fours, that would be a bit much considering they are bi-pedal. I think they should have separate animations though. Animations that reflect their superior sneak abilities and cat like origins.

I think having Khajit run or sneak on all fours would be fantastic, but I would bet my toe that you won't see it in Skyrim. I would love to see some of the other Khajit races as NPc's - maybe have the quadruped be a stationary NPC in a tavern or something. If they make TES Elsewheyre they had better have the different races, and i think, if a dev is watching this thread, someone should write down the op's idea. As for Argonians climbing walls, most big lizards (alligators or crocodiles etc) don't climb. Little ones for sure, but who knows. Did they have any kindo f climbing bonus when there was climbing in the game?

yes but only if their sneak attack is like jumping in the enemies back or cut his throat or whatever...
