There isn't anything conclusive to say that Motierre is a 'fake'.

But that's besides the point. My take on it is, he is probably a Noble in Cyrodiil, who knows what he's up to: just get rid of him, to be certain. Apart from businesslike duty, there is little reason to spare him.

Notice him the first time and last time you see him. You'll see.

If he's a fake then there's less reason to kill him than to spare him.

You're an assassin/hitman, keep it professional. Act like one; unless you're RP says otherwise.
