should my BB mesh have

Post » Sat Sep 18, 2010 9:42 pm

so i've been making some armor, my BB mesh always looked odd, there where things going everywhere (if you've read bahamunts tutorial for skinning armor, you'll know what i mean) but i installed better beasts, and my mesh got a tail.

which is just weird seeing as i was keeping the mesh in my desktop for easy use, and better beasts doesn't affect humans.

but i've never before seen a tail skeleton on a BB mesh:

so is this normal? i've never seen a tail on a human before, and also my BB armor has a tail in it's setup...... (i know i shouldn't be converting stuff) http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx49/wollibeebee/tailboots.jpg?t=1281232927 see?

I assume that's there so they can use the same skeleton for humanoid and beast races. It's certainly nothing to worry about.

Do you see anything odd in game? If not, I wouldn't worry in the slightest. I'm fairly certain that's meant to be there.

Looks like beast armature with straightened legs, so it can wear boots and stuff. Some Oblivion armatures have even more unused bones on them like for wings, secon pair of arms, pony tail and so on. As they all will be invisible ingame, there should be no problem with it. But why not just take a standard bb human body? :)

This ain't the standard human body, trust me on that!!! Got to http://www.psychodogstudios.net/ and download the original files. Your body is either upright beasts or some Oblivion crap body.

Edit: AFAIK bb beast do not overwrite any human bodies, do they???

Did you, by any chance, use LizTail's Animation Kit?

Kinda related side question: has anyone ever made skeleton containers that have tails, to simulate dead kahjits/argonians? I always thought it was a little odd to have them excluded.
