Put it on legendary and continue with your character onto dragonborn.

Agreed, keep your character and adjust the difficulty....you will want to devour all the great higher level content in Dragonborn...

Maybe later you will RP a Dark elf from Solstheim because you enjoyed it so much ^^

I'd try it both ways. New character for new DLC can be fun sometimes, but that doesn't mean you need to stop playing an older character.

I would use an experienced existing character on the first playthrough of the DLC.

I started new a new character for Dawnguard and Dragonborn, but I had started them a few week's before each DLC came out. If it was Dawnguard I would say start a new character, with Dragonborn, I'd say stick to the older character. Their are way's a low lvl character can make it ok, but it really needs the higher lvl character, so that it doesn't become a fustrating experience. That's my opinion anyway.

Yeah definitely take your favorite character through there but I also love running Nords and Dunmer through Solstheim as well, former because of the Skaal/Dragonborn quest and latter because the island is like Morrowind even though I never played that game.

Glorious, glorious Morrowind! This DLC actually did some justice to the feel of that game....Some people think it has aged poorly but I still play it and have a blast ^^ This DLC also made me yearn to play as a Dunmer again ^^
