I just hope the Fallout armor system doesn't get pushed into TES series.

THat would be a disaser... "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE ONLY GET A FULL SET OF ARMOR AND A HELEMET?!?"

Hmm, maybe. Would lead to more customization. Can you even use power armor without a full suit (minus the helm)?

Power Armour IS the entire suit. The helmet is the only part that is optional.

I wouldn't mind if they added in stealth kills like how Skyrim has it so that the other enemies aren't alerted.

Also, they need to remove the karma system imo or make it so after someone is dead it isn't considered stealing

No. Oblivions armor system should be used instead, as it is more custimizable.

Fallout isn't TES. Yeah I get people want to make things custimizable, but some armours can't be custimized, such as power armour. Seems to me a poinless feature, to be able to wear parts of different armours. Even if something like that is added, it shouldn't be for Power Armour.

Yeah, just look at the selections. How do you mix Metal armor with Leather armor? It's nonsense. Very few of the armors, if any, could even be mixed.

It would also make programming one hell of a mess. Each part of the body having a different Damage threshold/Damage resistance and deterioration rate.

That I have no problem with. If you find Power Armour with say Brotherhood markings. Putting that armour on makes you a target for every faction that hates the BoS. So all you do is spray paint over the BoS decals. Fallout 3 and New Vegas have a large number of spray paint guns around, how about someone in a future game that uses the damn things for their intended purpose.

Could be a guy that works on fixing up robots, and he paints them. Can go up to him and say "hey I have this armour here, could you do this for me?" Like getting your hair cut of having a facial surgery, you can then go into a window that lets you change the paint. But each change costs you money. Cause the guy isn't going to do it for free.

It'd be nice to spray paint your t-51 a nice military green shades.

Or maybe a rusty red color to mimic ashur's power armor.

Nope, Fallout's system is better.
As for choosing different styled clothes like gloves/boots/hats I think I'll just leave it with the hat being optional since, as people have said, DR/DT confusion and the restrictions some armours may need.
Hell they couldn't get the Chinese Stealth Suits helemt to fill the actual helmet slot so it ended up we could wear 20 hats with stacking stats :bonk:

Being able to upgrade your armour at a workbench, within limitations, seems reasonable - turn leather armour into reinforced leather armour using scrap metal or some such, for example. But get some leather and turn out a billion pieces of leather armour for a massive XP boost? No thanks, not for me.

Now [censored] way. No more TES in Fallout, thank you very much. There's already too much of it as it is.

The armors can be better balanced to to separate from eachother and offer distinct effects over each other as "one piece" sets. This wasn't done previously (all there was was DR in Fo3 and DT+movement penalty in FNV), but it can be more easily done than trying to balance out multiple set pieces. Imo.

It would be nice to be able to take a base armour and find junk and scrap metal in the wasteland and "modify" it to look certain ways.

You find a base X vault Suit - following options:

Use scrap metal and other junk to create a pauldron or vambraces on to your jump suit.
Treated leather to add belts and pouches for more weight distribution.
And some basic dyes form plants would be nice too.

Possibly stripping one getup with another to create a new one.

Of course that would be to much work and put on to other things.

Might work well with a mod though.

Agreed.
Let TES dumb its self down as much as it wants and let Fallout stay the same or branch back more to the originals.

If there were crafting recipes like making Armored Vault Suit or being able to craft Leather Armor into Reinforced Leather Armor that would be cool.

And I would like there to be three armor slots instead of two (not counting glasses with a hat). Headwear, Armor, and Overcoat. I always get annoyed when I look at my Bounty Hunter Duster and my Reinforced Combat Armor thinking of how awesome they would look together but never being able to actual do it.

Keep the New Vegas system! Although perhaps tweak the bleed effect, but make Power Armor truly top tier(sorry Light armor, you are a little too good!) and make top tier armor really valuable and hard to come by.

I don't even understand Skyrim's Armor Rating system. It means nothing to me. At least DT/AR does for me in Fallout.

Great, I got a set of armor that gives me 352 AR, that means what exactly?
