Should I Do It?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 11:14 pm

First off, Brink is great... Yadda yadda yadda...

Secondly, I have a PS3 and I love it to death, but recently the Xbox360 has started to massively appeal to me, plus most of my friends have one and say it's amazing. Between the user-friendly UI and awesome exclusives, and no lag and great gameplay, I'm lovin' it (Bah duh ba ba baaa!!) Anywayz, I've noticed over the years that the Xbox community has matured alot. Stupid 9-yr. old Xbox sissies have always turned me away but I've recently realized that the sissies have left, most likely because of the Live? price increase. Now that only the MATURE players are left, I feel like Xbox will be a better experience for me. What do you think? Should I get an Xbox so I have both systems or just stick with my PS3?

I guess you get what you pay for, yeah? PSN is free after all, and it can only be expected that Live? would be better and lag-free.

No, don't do it. User friendly UI? I can't stand the UI. Looks like something that belongs on the Wii. It's clunky and childish. And great exclusives? That's something someone usually says about PS3. 360 has Fable, Halo, Gears. PS3 has God of War, Little Big Planet, Socom, Killzone, Infamous, Resistance, Uncharted..........

I have both consoles, but never use my 360. It doesn't have Blu Ray either. LA Noire is on 3 discs. Give me a break.

I got seriously worried at this point, before seeing the next word.

I wouldn't call any xbox360 exclusives "awesome" ...except the Forza series if you're into racing games. But if you can afford both, go for it.

I'm a PC gamer personally, because computers offer the best online experience by far in my opinion, but I own a 360 as well for racing and sports games and have generally had good experiences online with those.

Hey man, I know the PS3 exclusives are in MUCH more quantity AND quality, but most multi-platform games are better on the Xbox360, with the exception of Brink and some other few. I like the UI. It feels alive, and although annoying or childish looking, it gives the console spirit.

If you have a lot of friends that have a 360, then go for it. Good console, and RROD is basically gone now.

I've only had good experiences with my 360.

If you have the money and want both systems I say go for it.

You asked for opinions I gave you mine. You seem to have made up your mind even before posting this thread. Good luck.

Not entirely. I haven't bought one yet, mind you. Don't worry though, I will always love Sony even though they died for a month! I also just wanna be able to play with my friends, you know?

BTW, Dragon Age Origins, Borderlands, Final Fantasy XIII and three games just released, Portal 2, Brink, LA Noire have been rated better on PS3. I've heard nothing but bad things about the 360 version of Brink, Portal 2 steamworks is console exclusive to PS3, and LA Noire is 3 discs on 360.

This is to add some substance to the "Multiplatform games are better on 360".

It's a nice feature for movie fanatics. I go Blu-ray over DVD whenever possible (unless I find out that the HD transfer was done extremely poorly). :P

Look guys and gals, I'm a shooter fan, and anything that's not a shooter will most likely be better on PS3 (i.e. Portal 2) but Xbox360 seems appealing and I think I'll enjoy it. And L.A. Noire on the Xbox is 3 discs? Wow... I can't wait to tell my friend. Lol. On PS3 it's one, right?

Anyway... Don't flame! :flamethrower:

More discs for me! I'd rather pay 60 bucks for three discs. Get more bang for your buck right?

Eh, I don't really care about that. Taking five seconds to swap a disc every ten or so hours isn't much of a hassle at all.

Yea 3 discs on 360.

@Wingus Point is why do it if you don't have to? I have both systems so why would I get it for 360?
