A.) Wrong section

B.) For all we know, the next Fallout game will be next-gen (and I actually mean next-gen, not what some people still call the current-gen). But either way, expect it to use the Creation engine. The Brink engine isn't designed to make open world games in the fashion of how current Fallout games are made, and the Creation engine is.

Yeah, probally getting skyrim engine, won't really know how it is, because I hated Oblivion, couldn't get into it, so not getting skyrim, but they could always develop something new.

If oblivion wasnt your taste, i cant blame you. The game left most of the hardcoe fans with a slightly bitter aftertaste. If you havent already try Morrowind.

The creation engine it was built for big open world games and already supports an rpg style leveling system, the brink engine would be a poor choice since it was built to support the movement system and fps style play. It's almost a certainty that we'll get a version of the creation engine, new console cycle is estimated 2014 so next gen is unlikely.

Hopefully, Fallout 4 will use Skyrim's engine, contain something similar to Skyrim's Radiant Storylines, and be made and published by Bethesda, like Fallout 3. That would be my ideal next Fallout game. I just hope Fallout 4 isn't as patently broken as New Vegas was when released. :brokencomputer:

Wasn't Oblivion supposed to be the last Elder Scrolls, but then they decided to give them Skyrim?

I think that was just a rumour. I think maybe people thought that, because they had acquired the Fallout IP, that would take up all their time. However, I'm fairly sure they always intended to continue the Elder Scrolls series as well.
Several members of Bethesda have also said that they consider Fallout to be as important to them as TES is. Therefore, we could be potentially looking at 4 or 5 Fallout titles from them. One can only hope. :foodndrink:

I can only hope that they put some more effort into making FO4 into a sequel that surpasses the originals... instead of something that was merely better than the last game they produced. Let's be honest, almost anything would be an improvement over Oblivion RP wise. That game felt so.... empty.

Skyrim's Creation engine.

Using an FPS engine to build an open-world game? Eh.

it worked pretty well for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines (they used the Source engine and made an amazing RPG out of it) but I'd rather opt for the engine designed to support a Fallout-style game from the ground up.

The only way we would see Fallout 4 using Brinks engine is if Splash Damage made the game. Bethesda could acquire a license to use Brink's engine, but seeing as how they already have their own, it's more practical to use it.
