imo it would add a lot more to immersion.
Almost all of your thread idea explanations are "immersion." Think past that. Think about, for example, doing some really hard quest that sent you into a dungeon that you spent hours in and you finally got to the end and obtained an awesome sword, then you left the dungeon, went to town, it got pickpocketed and now you just lost hours of your time.
And I know I'm not alone in decorating my house with all of my fancy loot, leaving it out in the open so that it's on display for me when I get home. Coming home and seeing it all gone would make me quit the game and mod that crap out in a second.
It's a nice idea, but so is communism.
I don't want to have to put all of my goods in containers and lock them, or have to lock every entrance to my house every time I leave it, or set traps around my house, or hire guards. I want my house to be
my house.
