Should this add to the gameplay?

I was thinking that it would be cool to have some creatures come out at night or day. In my opinion would make each day a little more interesting, what do you think?

It would be cool if certain enemies only came out during certain times of the day, whether it be night or day. One example I can think of would be Vampires. Would definitely spice things up.

Combine the first two choices. It would be neat to have vampires and werewolves and big cats at night, and then different things during the day. Could you sneak up on creatures in their sleep?

I think it should be both, some come out at day, some at night, and some both.

Also there should be a tiiinnnyy bit more of a chance to encounter something in the wilderness while traveling, like a pack of animals or a big monster, not some stupid balding lady in fur armour telling you to give her your stuff.

Yes, there should be some animals that only come out during the day and some only at night. Monsters have to sleep just like people do too, and not all people have the same sleep cycle.

I think enemies need a more unique behavior fitting to their origins, so night or day time activity is a good place to start.

I have never seen any cave trolls in my neighborhood during the day. I think they only come out at night.

Nah. Just yesterday i was being pursued by a pack of timber wolves from skingrad to anvil. And my poor weak character couldn't take more than 2 at once.

In Fallout New Vegas there were packs of mutated dogs that would roam around at night, but stick to their dens during daytime. I think that approach would work best. I would hate to have some creatures be impossible to find at certain times of day. I would however like to have some hiding during the day and some hiding at night.

I think it'd be cool if the world got a lot more dangerous at night. Whether that's more monsters coming out or the preexisting ones simply becoming much more aggressive. I

Something that comes out at night and potentially makes travelling during that time positively frightening would be nice. Something you can't really see, it's so dark, so you don't know what it is, but you can hear it, have to try and get it before it gets you... ohhh, yes. Wonderfully atmospheric and (hopefully) fun...

I try to pretend this is already the way it happens (in Oblivion, FO3 and FONV). It's quite a let down when I realize for the first time that a particular enemy I thought was nocturnal or something attacks me during the day.

Yes, it should be implemented. Most enemies should have natural sleep cycles that keep them hidden--and if the game world is to mimic real life, then most enemies should be crepuscular.

I think your poll needs to be multiple choice, as some enemies would be nocturnal and some would be day active. Still others would be around at any given time, such as muggers and whatnot.

The hype that Bethesda gave to us is caused fans, particularily new fans, to make polls on very specific things. Honestly, I say this "idea is stupid". That's the poll option, I don't think it is stupid, I just think it is a very small aspect that almost seems like another person is coming up with a reason to make another poll.

I hope didn't come off rude, just thought that people are creating way too much hype over the little information we know.

I'd like to see various scenarios of robbers cloaked in veils of night at nighttime cities breaking into houses, stealthily it not, and attempting to take things. Not for quests, but for regular gameplay, a few time per in game week.

Nice idea, they could do it for quests at the very least. By come out, do you mean not spawn unless its that time of day, or do you mean they stay in their dungeons(caves, ruins etc) and then go out into the wilderness at day night? I think the latter is more realistic. :)

Can I answer Yes to the first two? Why not just say Do you want Time SPecific Enemies? It would be a lot easier to understand.

I'd agree that only encountering certain creatures in the wilderness at certain times of day is a good idea, though the spawns in dungeons and such should not be effected by the day and night cycles, or if anything, there should be some creatures that are only encountered in dungeons when it's not their usual active time, as those are presumably the monsters' lairs, so they'd be in there when they shouldn't be wandering outside. For extra realism, you could even have some creatures sleep at specific times of the day, seeing as NPCs already do this. Having both enemies that come out only at night and ones that only come out at day would not only be realistic, it might even encourage players to avoid traveling at night as certain dangerous creatures would be about at such times. If creatures could actually leave their lairs during times when they would be active and return when it's time for rest, it could also add a new way for stealthy characters to acquire loot in such places as they could sneak in when the inhabitants of a dungeon are out, take the loot, and then sneak out, one would need to be careful to get out before they return though or else, you might have some dangerous monsters that won't be too pleased about the presence of an intruder in their lair to deal with. Although some types of enemies should stay where they are of course, to prevent allowing low level characters access to the best loot easily, this is especially true for supernatural creatures like undead and Daedra, and also Dwemer centurions, since they're mechanical and wouldn't need to sleep and hunt.

Though maybe giving creatures something like Radiant AI is too ambitious, but at the very least, I wouldn't think making them only spawn at specific times would be too unreasonable.

Vampires at Oblivion where found only inside caves/temples.
It would be nice to encounter some outside.
