Should I update ?

Hello Everybody.
1.9 is out and I still haven't updated , I'm afraid it will EXPLODE the peaceful and balanced relations with my mods. Should I fear ?
Should I update ASAP ?

Help me ! :(

It killed my save I have to start the game again.
