Should I use OOO

Ill try and keep this brief. Ive played Oblivion unmodded for over 200 hours but something about the game world and the plethora of mods made me want to come and play it on my new gaming set up. So ive gone through every mod I looked at when i had a lesser computer and tested out many of them but now Im not sure what I want. I do know that i want the game to be fresh and fun to play while at the same time upping the immersion factor and adding content,

I downloaded Deadly Reflex combined with Modular Oblivion Enhanced and used some other mods. Deadly Reflex made me want to jump into combat to try the new animations and combat engine and thus made it interesting but MOE had a lot of incompatibilities and i could only use a few modules.

So i deactivated all my mods and spent 2-3hrs downloading the newest version of OOO and MMM combined together they are supposed to give you some fantastic gameplay. But all ive noticed is that i cant leave a city without dying. I like the neat little immersive touches that OOO adds and I like the new creatures in MMM but I dont need 4 Amazonian Warriors charging me at level 1.

So my question is do i just keep sticking with OOO and it will get better? Is it incompatible with Deadly Reflex? Should i use some smaller immersive mods like Realistic Hunger and Sleep Effects with OOO? or should i just bag the whole OOO idea and find a different overhaul?

MMM and OOO unlevel the world. Basically, the further you get from civilization, the meaner the enemies you will face. At low levels, the game IS difficult. As it should be. :D As you get higher level, better weapons/armor/equipment, life becomes easier, but, you can still be killed on a fairly regular basis. :D

I run a full FCOM setup, and at lower levels, the game is CHALLENGING, to say the least.... radically alters play style from vanilla.

OOO is hard at the beginning, esp. the first time. But it's not "unfairly" and randomly so. For instance, you won't face Amazons randomly close to cities. If you pay attention to messages you'll get a "warning" for the one place they do (and another one also close to a city). Basically, you'll have to be very careful in the beginning, staying close to civilization, focusing on bandits and goblins, be prepared to flee from lightly clad female warriors etc.

EDIT: There's a thread on http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1088301-beginners-tips-for-ooo/ which might be helpful.
