I think the problem is for me that i am boss of my own time... so nobody is checking if i actually do anything right now, or not... At least when i meet deadlines, at least approx, im good.

I can't do it at work except on breaks, but I would if I could.

And you used trolling like you're browsing or lurking the forums...do you know what trolling even is?

I work on a shop floor so I cannot browse anything, only when I go for my breaks and when I get home.

Yep me as well, joined today as I am getting so excited about this game. Boss is out at a meeting and I'm just searching you tube and reading forums fueling my anticipation.

As I'm in my late 40's I know this is wrong, but hey, I have waited so long for FO4.

How is your wife dealing with you gaming? Mine sometimes hates it... sometimes she is okay with it, depends on how much i do it. When i find an amazing game, like F4 would be, i probably end up gaming a lot and i can see how this would not look good for non-gamer. We have been together 5 years so she is mostly used to it by now... But of course i dont have much free time for past 3+ years (kids).

My brothers wife absolutely forbid him to do it... "its for boys only" kind of excuse. But he still does it sometimes. But yeah, i was always the bigger gamer :)

I am 31 years old btw.

Luckily she knew what I was like 16 years ago when we met and I spent most of my spare time playing Zelda Ocarina of time the then she bought me Gran Tourismo which I used to play for hours on end, I remember she liked the music to that. Some games that have a good narrative she actually sat and watched ( usually she'd find something to do elsewhere) games like beyond 2 souls, The last of Us.

I think she accepts that playing games to relax is better than going out to the pub.

TBH I dont think I'd have married her if she didnt accept my gaming - Shallow? Maybe. But I've played video games since the 70's and I would NOT give them up for another human being. My philosophy is Love me, Love me swearing at the TV !!

Of course not >_>

Fine, yeah... my self-control is terrible. I do have my own schedule, but by prioritizing Fallout I'm just creating more work for myself, so I have to stay late to finish it... It's probably actually a good thing I have a business trip the week of release, otherwise I might have ended up calling in "sick"

Yeah, that has been a big plus for her about my gaming too. I dont care much about drinking or going out just because... I do it rarely and for an occasion. She has never bought me a game though... but she knows almost nothing about games, so it would be very hard for her to do. :)

I sometimes have said to her that i would love to someday watch her play one of my favorites... but the replay has always been "i cant imagine myself playing". I guess some people are gamers and some are not. I dont love her less because of it... lol.

http://www.gamesas.com/user/724111-valgusepoiss/ " I dont love her less because of it... lol." That made me smile. Good on you. My Mrs has had a few goes on some older 2 player or family play stuff on the N64, Wii and PS2, I remember I came home from work one day to find her playing 1080 snowboarding, practicing her moves so that she could beat me. Being a gent, I eventually let her win (or so I tell myself) but she was such a bad winner, proper In Your Face, we decided to go our seperate ways once the console was turned on, her upstairs to watch soaps and me to whereever my trusty game controller took me.

Yes of course, but I have 2 monitors at my desktop at work so I kinda multitask. When I some of my work takes the computer time to run through its processes I browse the forum. Becoming a bit of a problem though as the go live date gets nearer but I am pretty much my own boss so as long as I make up some hours later not a big deal.

Thankfully I have my own office, and spend great amounts of my day browsing forums and websites looking for news abut the game, and any new footage that might be out there. The whiteboard in my office that I use to plan 2 weeks out for events has a countdown in each day's block to release and the words "OFF" in large print on November 10 and 11.

I just hope I can focus on work when I return to work after release. Having the Pipboy app on my phone may cause some distraction!

Ha! Totally.

I've really mastered my alt+tab skills over the past couple weeks.

The past few days have been really bad, maybe 30% of my day is devoted to F4!

I've been spending WAY too much of my workday on here, pretty much since the reveal. It's gotten progressively worse as we get closer to release. Our office is an open floor-plan with four of us in here, but luckily my desk is positioned so that my boss and colleagues can't see my screen without walking over to my desk. Usually gives me enough time to minimize my browser.
