Don't you agree?

The thing is, everybody will up right create 8 characters they may never use just to reserve the names for alts they may never create or use for minor stuff like crafting. What if I want one of those names for my main char? Shouldn't I have priority over the guy that "just maybe some day will create an alt with that name" ?

I know it's too late now, since they are not going to change it, but I think ZOS should have taken these things into consideration...

Doesn't matter really, I'm in the UK and will be starting about 7 hours after the start. I don't care if everyone has 8 names, I'm sure I can find one.

I had all 8 characters planned out for SWTOR at launch and snagged the names I wanted, but, that was because SWTOR had 8 unique class stories and was an "alt friendly" game- this does not appear to be the same.

As 50+ and 50++ content is to...

...I feel almost zero desire to roll any alts, so, will probably make my main and maybe one other.

I agree but people are greedy, and often find ways to justify their greediness. I'm only concerned with creating one main and I don't pick very popular names so i'm not too worried.

Maybe not ONE for the first day, but character creation should of been limited to one an hour or something. So that 8 great common names are snatched up immediately.

I do plan on making 4 characters, 3 I will do NO slider info and just grab the name so I can remake the character a week or so later. 1 of them I will take my time to make to go explore etc.

If that makes me an [censored] than so be it.

Classic cliche names that most people would be inclined to take ie. common names: Bob, Joe, Doug etc., popular characters in all sorts of media: Legolas, Harry Potter, Spiderman etc., Celebrity names: Lady Gaga, John Lennon, Brad Pitt, etc. I think you get the idea.

You know what the sad thing is? Someone's sitting on the forum right now, say out loud: "Dammit! Someone else wants that name!!!"

With as open as the naming system is, i don't think naming will be an issue at all. Accepting maybe for ppl who for rp or other reasons refuse to consider last names or alternate spellings.

Okay and for the record: those names are safe from me. So is Gandalf, Aragorn, Frodo, Julius Cesear, Ted Bundy, Oscar Wilde, Wreckin' Ball, and Igor.

I really don't care. I doubt anyone is going to beat me to my chosen names anyways. Not only do I intend to use both a first and last name, but they are all my own ideas, and not taken from anything else.

NO alt nazi we should be able to make 8 characters if we want. i don't care for anyone telling what i can do with my account. if you don't like me and many others making 8 characters then don't play
