Shouldn't the Khajiit and Redguards switch?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:54 am

Okay, now I remember seeing an oblivion mod a while back that was making Hammerfell, the Redguard province. It made it sort of an Indian (not american)-like place, with jungles, and Indian palaces, the works.

However, the Redguards being the color they are, I would expect them to be dwelling the deserts of Elsweyr as a sort of Arabian culture, while the tiger-like Khajiit dwell in the jungles of what appears to be a Bengal region, perfectly suited for felines.

Don't bring lore in please; I read up some, and it seems that Azura (supposedly) created the Khajiit from the Bosmer, and Nirna (i think) cursed them and made them live in a desert.
however, logically, they should migrate north through Cyrodiil, taking Hammerfell, while the Redguards descend and live in Elsweyr.

Redguards...indian...you sure you did your research? Redguards have nothing to do with indians, they are much more persian, though like Glassgallow said a thousand times, you can't really put a place to the TES races, they have a bit of everything.

i know they are more middle-eastern, which is why i said they should be in the deserts of elsweyr.

i dont know exactly what hammerfell looks like, but like i said, i saw a mod that made it look very much like india. which suits tigers much better than a desert.

yes but you need to remember that the TES world isn't like our world, there is no must, there is no such thing as it might be more realistic, TES is it's own world, comparisons can't be easily drawn

Hammerfell has the largest desert in Tamriel: the Alik'r. Elsweyr's desert is small by comparison. Furthermore, half of Elsweyr is a jungle.

But yea, dont compare cultures/regions in TES and the real world. Did you know that the Nords have Indian influences?

As said before, I don't think there is any reason to compare the world of TES to our own world

You might be bisixually wrong

Whilst this is more suited to Lore, looking at the poll choices and the replies that are starting to come, this is best just closed.
