My bro and I were talking about the new Seine Crossing in Battlefield, I thought it was pretty cool, and then I had a completely random thought... Should the Pinger be blind?

I guess the Pinger gets it's name because it "pings" you out. Sends out that shockwave that drains your energy and waits for the shockwave to return to find your location, kind of like sonar. So if the Pinger's main method of finding you is pinging you, wouldn't it be blind?

I guess at first bluff, it seems like a disadvantage, but if you think about it, the Pinger would be able to tell you're there even though it hasn't seen you. Almost an unfair advantage, but it would've made the game a little more fun =) . So what do you guys think?
