Shouts and questions and hello!

Some questions...

I am a stealthy dude, always was and probably will continue to be.

So I read that there is a shout that can slow time and since I like to sneak, would i be able to say these words in a "whispery" way?

Example;
I am in a dungeon, I sneak and see a group of 3 enemies; would I be able to "whisper" the words to slow time without them hearing me? slow down time and then jump from the corner and fire off a arrow or maybe two? assuming the ability is timed and gives you an edge(able to use the mouse to look around normally without the "slow effect")
What I mean is that I guess that if I where to scream the words like in the trailer the enemies would go into a alert status and start moving or perhaps not giving me damage bonus because i am not stealth anymore.

Oh! And hi everyone! =)
I have been a lurker for too long and I believe its time for me to ask some questions! (Got plenty, but going to wait for more info to be released )

No idea, seems like something you would have to wait and see on. Though 1 of the articles today did confirm a perk that could slow down time when firing your bow, which doesn't seem like it would break stealth.

I'm guessing that Dragon Shouts will be considered a form of attack and therefore put your enemies on alert status...but I am just guessing :smile:

Yeah I caught that as well, but some of the earlier articles said it was a dragonshout as well if I remember correctly which is the reason I ask

Yes it is a dragon shout also and no one knows(beyond Bethesda) whether or not we'll be able to use them stealthily...at the moment.

I was just offering an alternative in case you can't.

They did say that that shout slows down only other people/creatures and you are completely unaffected. I would also assume they, of course, would have a shout for sneaking and non-sneaking stances. They HAVE to notice shouting while sneaking makes no sense.

I hope so, from what I read, they are going to be very powerful and change the gameplay.
I hope stealth wont make us stay away from the abilities,or worse... stay away from stealth!

Maybe in stealth mode you whisper, while in regular mode you shout.

But certain shouts are called whispers so not entirely sure.

It was confirmed that there is a "shout" that you whisper and teleports you a short distance.
