Shouts only build.

Post » Fri Nov 08, 2013 4:10 pm

I think i might do it... i really wish i could have the greybeards robes for it though.

Bassically I will get a pretty good restoration potion to shorten the cool-downs by a pretty good amount. If i stay a low enough level i might be able to damage foes pretty well.

If i get bored i may try to do unarmed, but that would require me to either go into enchanting or heavy armor.

Then i have to think of how im going to switch between them, at least i can hot key two (XBOX)

Im surprised there is no shout that restores health/magica/stamina

Look i even got this in the mail today: https://img1.etsystatic.com/000/0/6706336/il_570xN.314633809.jpg

Ideas?

I've done this, it's pretty hard though with the cooldown. Basically the character only used shouts or his fists.

I plan on making use of a restoration potion to make my amulet of talos give me very short Cool-down. I just have to keep the amulet on otherwise the effect wears off.

I have done it, and its seriously over powered if you use the restoration loop to give you 0 cool down..

I spawned roughly 40 Draugr Overlords, 10 Giants, 4 mammmoths, and 2 Revered Dragons, and used:

Dragon Aspect + Odahviing + Durnehviir + Dragonborn Flame

and it was the most Chaos I have ever seen in game... So many Fire Wyrms and dragons breathing fire... such a terrible frame-rate... and then it crashed....

I think you had better prepare your character to do a lot of running.

yes, i'm quite concerned about how i'm supposed to do damage with my fists until i can learn a new damage shout ;_;

I need more health, better stock up on health potions then i guess.

Will certainly be a challenging build that's for sure. Would be interested to know how you get on if you stick with it. Big struggle early on (bit like a pure mage) but may be ok once you get a few decent shouts under your belt. Will you be using a follower, I think you may need one.

Ah, that's a very possible and pretty dang fun to play build then.

To be honest i think this build sounds boring. But i am running out of things to do so i might give it a go as well.

It's actually pretty fun. It can be long, but its satisfying when you defeat a dragon only using shouts.

Definitely possible, but a more doable build would be one that relies primarily on shouts, not solely. You don't even have to completely eliminate the cooldown time, just enough to where by the time whatever effect wears off, you're ready to should again...I don't remember the number, but with the amulet of Talos, blessing of Talos, and a decent restoration potion, you pretty much negate the cooldown pain.

Enchanting your robes and boots etc for protection could be a shrewd move.

Keep in mind, that if you have the PC version the Unofficial Skyrim Patch fixes Morokei so that it has the correct enchantment, which is +100 magicka regen AS WELL AS 20% shout cooldown bonus, so the mask, combined with the Amulet and Blessing of Talos, that's already a 60% reduction in cooldown time.

Step 1: Get Shout

Step 2: Get Talos Necklace

Step 3: Get Miraak's Outfit

Step 4: Get Dragonborn Shout

Step 5: Meet Parthurnax

Step 6: Choose shout

Step 7: Find Black Books

Step 8: Choose shout

Step 9: Find Mod that fixes Morokei(optionial)

Step 10: Use Morokei(optional)

Step 11: Send me a message

Step 12: I send you picture of a cat in a bathtub.

Step 13: ???

Step 14: Profit.

(Screw the blessing of Talos, do you want to go back to a shrine every time you finish adventuring for the day?)
