I was wondering if anyone would want to learn regular Shouts like the old Shout users use to use from the college of the voice in Markarth Side along with the Dragon Shouts you can use since your Dovakiin

personally I'm good with just the dragon shouts, I'm not 100% on the lore but I think the Voice uses are born with the gift and/or are trained from a very early age (kind of like jedi)

Well, if it makes you feel any better, racial powers (such as Voice of the Emperor) apparently use the same slot as shouts.

They are the same. "Old shouts" were Dragon Language.
